On a remote Greek island, the dying Bartholomenos is haunted by a secret he has carried for twenty-one years. A burned-out boat, the memory of a young man’s body, and the unresolved fate of his brother Jimmy force him to confront a past shaped by guilt, violence and silence.
Before it is too late, he must seek out his brother’s twin sons, Constantine and Demetrius, who now run a sports bar in the shadow of Yankee Stadium. As the story moves between the Aegean and the Bronx, the brothers’ own buried tensions collide with Bartholomenos’s confession and with the legacy of a young outsider searching for identity and freedom.
Bound by family, exile and inherited shame, the characters are drawn towards a reckoning in which truth may offer redemption — or destroy what remains of them.
